CO301B at CSU

Science Communication

During my final semester at CSU, I took a composition class that emphasized rhetorical knowledge, disciplinary conventions, and synthesis of evidence as tools to communicate science to multiple audiences. Creativity, spatial thinking, and graphic design are not always prioritized in engineering curriculums, therefore, I greatly enjoyed the opportunity to employ these skills.

Throughout the semester I analyzed three journal articles related to wildfire impacts on snow, water quality, streamflow characteristics and geomorphology. Starting from an annotated bibliography, I then composed a popular science article, infographic, and video, each corresponding to one source.
