Winter Wonders
I've been downhill skiing my whole life, but just recently I learned cross-country (Nordic). Many of my cycling teammates are also a part of the Nordic ski club at CSU - it's great cross training and a fun way to stay active in the winter.
Nordic
Learning the technique and building the fitness necessary to excel in both skate and classic disciplines is always a work in progress, but I've already had lots of race experience in the past few years. Some highlights include the Alley Loop, a 21km skate race in Crested Butte, CO, and USCSA Nationals in Lake Placid, New York. In February 2025 I plan to ski the American Birkebeiner in Wisconsin with several CSU Nordic alumni!

Alpine
I've competed in downhill racing and freeride, but the most rewarding seasons I've had involved coaching 6-10 year old kids with the Winter Park Competition Center.
